Some digital paintings I did for my Broadcast Graphics project. The dragon has been a work in progress. It started as a sketch for a drawing class, was pulled into In Design for a Text as Art project, and was then pulled into Photoshop to be painted and finally finished. The box was sketched out on paper, scanned, then painted in Photoshop. The girl was sketched and painted completely digitally in Photoshop.
I took an unfinished dragon sketch that I did and put it in In Design, used a separate layer to draw over it using only text glyphs, then deleted the image. I only used typfaces that I already had on my computer. No characters were warped in any way, though I did resize and rotate the characters freely.
